Islamic Relief is appealing for vital funds to get much-needed aid to people suffering from violence in Ivory Coast.
The appeal comes as the humanitarian situation in the West African country deteriorates in the wake of an ongoing post-electoral crisis.
Over 900 people have died since the beginning of the crisis, and more than 1 million have fled the country. At least 150,000 people have left their homes to try to find safety elsewhere in the country.
Islamic Relief, which has an office in nearby Mali, is closely monitoring and assessing the situation to assess where and how we can best assist those suffering from the violence. Emergency teams are on standby for deployment if needed. Islamic Relief has also agreed to work in partnership with other agencies to ensure effective delivery of aid.
Islamic Relief has been committed to serving humanity for more than 26 years, and has offices in around 10 countries on the African continent. Please support our efforts to help the people of Ivory Coast: Donate today.
