The Director of Islamic Relief Pakistan, Fadlullah Wilmot, talks about the work that Islamic Relief is doing on the ground in Balochistan province to improve peoples’ lives.
The poorest area in Pakistan, Balochistan is a harsh environment that is often afflicted by earthquakes and extreme weather and where people have dangerously limited access to clean water and electricity.
Islamic Relief provides fresh water and solar panels to its villages so families can survive but their work does not end there. Islamic Relief have been promoting and supporting the establishment of community based organisations so people can plan collectively and work together to better prepare themselves before a disaster occurs and so reduce its potential impact. This is what we call long term sustainable development - empowering people to improve their lives.
In the video below the Director of Islamic Relief Pakistan talks about the world of difference your donations are making in Balochistan.
